DMOZ is most undoubtedly the most coveted directory projects that ever existed.What do you think that DMOZ needs a better design? Its category structure is excellent and it is different that any other existing web directories. I don't think it needs a face lift. DMOZ main success is its category structure and easy to find information.

As an entity its just a directory, with great resources validated and included in its index by a human. It should have a easy navigation, which it has. And its only possible when you have a plain design.

I think this design is good .There is no need to change this.It is very successful now.It is developed and modified by a vast global community of editors.This directory as useful as possible for our users.A listing in the open directory creates two significant links into a website one from the open directory and one from the Google directory.So in my opinion it is the luckiest search engine.It is east to get listed in this directory.
